Volunteer to Help Salute Lincoln on May 7 & 8 at the Guardians of Freedom Airshow!
The Lincoln Chamber of Commerce, Nebraska National Guard and Lincoln Airport Authority welcome you to participate in the the Guardians of Freedom Airshow, as a fundraising opportunity for you and your club. Nearly 250,000 attendees will converge on Lincoln's Airpark during this two-day aviation celebration.
We need clubs to volunteer staff at this monumental event:
Are you a part of a club or organization that loves coming together for a common goal, lending a hand while raising funds? The Guardians of Freedom Airshow will need 600 volunteers over the two-day period to work concessions for the incredible number of attendees. Working these concessions stands is a great fundraiser for civic clubs, student organizations, club sports and other non-profit entities.
We love our volunteers!
The Guardians of Freedom Airshow will give your organization $55 per volunteer/per day! All your group members can watch the airshow while helping out and earning money for your respective organizations.
Details about volunteering:
- Volunteers will be expected to arrive no later than 8:30 a.m. the day of the show and will need to stay until 5:30 p.m.
- All volunteers will be able to park in a dedicated parking lot close to volunteer check-in and will receive unlimited food and drink while working the show.
- In order to staff each concession stand, we need approximately 15 people per stand. Should your group be interested in this fundraising operation, but are unable to accommodate 15 people, we will partner you with another organization.
- Volunteers will also be required to have food handler permits. If you don't already have one, the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce will pay for you to get your permit. This can be completed online. The process takes approximately one hour and the permit is yours to keep for future volunteer opportunities or work employment!
