A-26 Invader

The A-26 is powered by two Pratt and Whitney R-2800 radial engines which produce 2,000 HP each. Due to its aerodynamically superior laminar flow wing and low profile, and aircraft can out run a P-51 in a dive. This aircraft consumes approximately two and a half gallons of fuel per minute of operation. A light, high-speed attack  bomber. It performed mission assignments as a clandestine infiltration vehicle, inserting special operations personnel behind enemy lines. The aircraft also served well as a high-speed ground support platform capable of firing 10,800 rounds of 50 caliber ammunition per minute.
