Lincoln, Neb. –The Nebraska Air National Guard, the Nebraska Army National Guard, and Offutt Air Force Base along with community partners: the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce and the Lincoln Airport Authority, will officially kick off the 2023 “Guardians of Freedom” open house and air show during a 9:15 a.m. press conference on Monday, Nov. 21 at the Nebraska Air National Guard Base. Major General Daryl Bohac and members of the Nebraska National Guard, the 55th Wing, the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce and two members of the U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels Team will officially comment on the air show with a Blue Angel F/A-18 aircraft in the background. 


This will mark the first time that the Blue Angels have appeared in Lincoln since May 2016 when they headlined a similar air show hosted by the Nebraska National Guard in cooperation with the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce. The 2016 airshow drew nearly 250,000 spectators with the Blue Angels performing breathtaking aerobatics over the Lincoln Airport.
